Register to attend the 12 - 2 p.m. session for a parol making workshop by calling (925) 373-5500. Parols, ornamental star-shaped lanterns from the Philippines, are displayed during the holiday season. The library will provide supplies needed to make a small parol (bamboo sticks, dowel pegs, rubber bands, glue stick, cellophane sheets, tissue sheets, strings, and cardstock paper). Participants are encouraged to bring their own glue gun, clear tape, and scissors.
