James by Percival Everett is the August book for the Good Reads Book Club. Join in person at the Civic Center Library in the Small Conference Room (note change in location from previous meetings) on August 22 at 7 p.m.

Book Summary: From Percival Everett, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and Booker Prize, comes “James,” a retelling of “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” both harrowing and ferociously funny, told from the enslaved Jim's point of view.
