Cruising Down Memory Lane: Stories of Pleasanton in the 1950s

All are invited to enjoy stories from five of the 38 storytellers featured in Cruising Down Memory Lane: Stories of Pleasanton in the 1950s, Towne Center Books’s #1 Nonfiction Book of 2023.

This program will take place in the Civic Center Library Storytime Room (1188 S. Livermore Ave.) on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 2 p.m.  Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing.

True history is comprised of the stories of everyday people. This panel features a diverse group of residents reliving their memories and recounting stories of the valley in the mid-20th century. Attendees will smile as they remember their own experiences during that time.  During the program, a 1932 Ford Roadster owned by former Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Chief George Withers will be on display outside the library.
