Tween Book Club (Grades 4-8)

Join a librarian and a ranger from the LARPD to discuss the graphic novel Little Monarchs by Jonathan Case. This post-apocalyptic adventure follows Elvie and her mentor as they search for a cure for the sun sickness that keeps most of humanity underground. After the book discussion, learn about some of the wilderness survival skills that Elvie writes about in her journal. Space is limited, so registration is required. Call 925-373-5505 or visit any Livermore Public Library location to sign up. Students in grades 4 - 8 are welcome to register. Registrants will receive a free copy of the book to read ahead of the meeting.

Register (if you haven't already) for our Summer Learning Program at Livermore.beanstack.org or on the Beanstack app. Paper gameboards are available at all Livermore Library locations.

The Livermore Public Library Summer Learning Program runs until August 14, 2024. Help us meet our community reading goal of 5 million minutes! All ages are encouraged to join. Participants who read and log their minutes have the opportunity to win prizes. Raffle prizes include Nintendo Switch, Le Creuset Chef’s Oven, LEGO Sets, and more! Children receive a free book just for signing up. Thank you to the Friends of the Livermore Library and our other sponsors.

Use the hashtag #LPLsummer24 to share with us if you post pictures on social media.
