Art of the African Diaspora – Black History Month Art Exhibit Opens

In honor of Black History Month 2024, visit the Civic Center Library Art Gallery to view an Art Exhibit featuring Arthur Norcome, Joseph Robinson, Asual Kwahuumba, Julie Atkinson, Kevin Lance Daniels, Joanne Johnson, and Ashlie Kego, and curated by TheArthur Wright. Art Of The African Diaspora (AOTAD) in partnership with Richmond Art Center, supports artists of African descent in the Bay Area through representation, professional development, and building a creative community. For a third consecutive year, Livermore Public Library is honored to host AOTAD for a satellite exhibit during Black History Month.

On February 10, 2024, at 12 p.m., in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms, we're hosting an Artist Reception honoring Art of the African Diaspora 2024 artists. Celebrate and meet the artists, learn about their artwork, and enjoy appetizers from the Pleasanton Catering Company. No registration is required to attend this event.

All Black History Month 2024 events are free and open to the public thanks to the support of the Friends of the Livermore Public Library. For more information, please call (925) 373-5505.
