Unity Paper Chain Project

Unity Week Activities for Bullying Prevention, October 18-23, at Livermore Public Library with LVJUSD

  • Date: 10/20/2021

People of all ages are welcome to come to Civic Center or Rincon libraries to put their name or a message of acceptance on a piece of paper. The paper slips will be joined in a chain (representing unity) and used to decorate the library. Please see the library’s catalog for book lists on the subject of kindness, inclusion, and bullying prevention.

Unity Day was started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 as a way to raise awareness for bullying prevention. Participants are encouraged to wear the color orange and pledge to promote a culture of kindness, inclusion, and acceptance. More information about Unity Day can be found on PACER’s website.

Registration is not required for any of the Unity Day activities. Everyone is invited to participate. For more information, contact Librarian Caitlyn Lung at 925-373-5576.
