Unity Day Chalk Art for Bullying Prevention

Unity Week Activities for Bullying Prevention, October 18-23, at Livermore Public Library with LVJUSD

  • Date: 10/20/2021  (all day)

Everyone is welcome at Civic Center Library and Rincon Library to decorate the patio with chalk art. Librarians have prepared book lists for all ages. Please see the library’s catalog for book lists on the subject of kindness, inclusion, and bullying prevention.

October 18-23, Library goers may also put their name or a message of acceptance on a piece of paper. The paper slips will be joined in a chain and used to decorate the Library.

Unity Day was started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 as a way to raise awareness for bullying prevention. Participants are encouraged to wear the color orange and pledge to promote a culture of kindness, inclusion, and acceptance. More information about Unity Day can be found on PACER’s website.

For more information, contact Librarian Caitlyn Lung at 925-373-5576.
