Become a Literacy Volunteer/Tutor - Free Training

Get training to become a volunteer literacy tutor and help an adult become more confident and better able to navigate everyday situations. No previous experience is necessary, although being respectful, patient and encouraging helps. After successfully completing the 3-part training, volunteers are teamed with an adult learner. Pairs typically meet once or twice weekly for one to two hours each meeting.

The next three-part Tutor Training will take place on the following dates from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Ave., Livermore, CA (please note - participants attend all three sessions):

Monday, October 9^th, 2023
Wednesday, October 11^th, 2023
Monday, October 16^th, 2023
