Encore Players Presents "Connecting the World Through Public Works"

In honor of National Public Works Week (May 21 - 27, 2023), Encore Players, Livermore’s community theatre group, will present an entertaining and educational program for adults and teens. Connecting the World Through Public Works celebrates public works professionals at the heart of every community. Encore Players will present the fascinating history of public works in the United States, starting with the New Deal. They will also discuss the role of women in unions, war efforts, and construction – from Eleanor Roosevelt to Rosie the Riveter to present-day women in public works projects. This program will take place on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 2-3 p.m., in the Civic Center Library Storytime Room (1188 S. Livermore Ave.). For additional program information, call (925) 373-5500.
