Armchair Travelers: Bouvet Island

Frank Rainer will show a slideshow of photos and share stories of the excursion he and his wife, Sigrid, took to Bouvet Island, an uninhabited protected nature reserve and the world’s most remote island. The Rainers sailed from Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city, along the Antarctic Coast and up to the Cape Verde Islands, covering an assortment of rarely visited islands. They spent two days sailing around Bouvet Island but never landed on it due to rough conditions. Registration is not necessary to attend this free program.
