Encore Players Preview of Lysistrata

Encore Players present a preview of their production of Lysistrata: An Ancient Story for a Modern Times.  Spend an afternoon with playwright Will Huddleston, who adapted Aristophanes’ ancient play Lysistrata (written in 411 B.C) for modern audiences. During the program, Huddleston will discuss how he re-imagined Aristophanes’ story, the Encore Players will perform excerpts from the show, and Director Diann McCannon will share her interpretation of the story. Attendees will learn about playwrighting and enjoy an introduction to the Encore Players’ production of Lysistrata, performing Jan. 28 to Feb. 5 at the Bothwell Arts Center.
