Parols, ornamental star-shaped lanterns from the Philippines, are displayed during the holiday season. A limited number of parol making kits will be provided. Registration is required to receive a parol making kit. To register, please call (925) 373-5500. Each kit contains the supplies needed to make a small parol (bamboo sticks, dowel pegs, rubber bands, glue stick, cellophane sheets, tissue sheets, rubber bands, strings, and cardstock paper). Participants are encouraged to bring their own glue gun, clear tape, and scissors.
