Darshana: A Glimpse into Hindu Civilization

A free program about Darshana, a traveling exhibit that has been featured in major U.S. cities. It provides glimpses into Hindu Dharma, a way of life, and Hindu Civilization, including traditions, culture, contributions, and fun facts. Darshana is an opportunity to learn about a vibrant and integral part of the Tri-Valley community, as well as celebrate California Hindu American Awareness and Appreciation Month, which is recognized by the State of California (ACR 209). The exhibit is organized and sponsored by Livermore Public Library and Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA (HSS), a nonprofit organization that endeavors to instill pride in Hindu heritage among its members and to enhance appreciation of Hindus around the world, their traditions, and civilization by the broader community in the United States.

People of all ages are invited to explore this exhibit comprised of 24 posters with beautiful illustrations and enriching information. There will be HSS volunteers on-hand to explain the concepts featured in each poster. There is also an audio tour option available to exhibit visitors.
