Empathy Conversation

  • Date: 08/31/2021 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Location: Online via Zoom

Presenting our first interactive discussion with the Living Room Conversation organization. They will guide a video conversation about empathy to help citizens increase understanding, reveal common ground, and seek solutions. The power of empathy (stepping into the shoes of someone else) can bridge “us vs. them” perceptions and lead to new solutions, improved relationships, better strategies for social change, a reduction in loneliness, and realization of people’s shared human needs and oneness.

This program will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, please call (925) 373-5505. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link a few days prior to the event.

The topic of conversation will be discussed in three rounds. During each round, participants will select from a set of questions designed to encourage dialogue. The discussion guide and list of questions may be viewed here: https://bit.ly/3xIFvvV.
