Banned Books Week Trivia for Teens

  • Date: 09/21/2022

Every day during Banned Books Week (September 18 – 24, 2022) there will be a different trivia question posted to the Library's Instagram and Twitter accounts. There will also be daily in-person questions available at all three library branches. Every correct answer earns teen participants (grades 6 – 12) an entry into a drawing for the banned book of their choice (up to a $15 value).

Instagram and in-person questions at each branch will be different. There are 20 possible entries per person (7 social media questions, 7 Civic Center questions, 5 Rincon questions, and 1 Springtown question). Answers must be submitted by the end of the day on which the questions were posted. To enter, participants should email the answers to social media questions to cmlung@livermoreca.gov. Participants may also obtain entry forms for in-person questions at the information desk of any branch of the Livermore Public Library. Five prizes will be awarded.

This year, the theme of Banned Books Week, an annual celebration of the freedom to read, is "Censorship Divides Us." Learn more about Banned Books Week by visiting bannedbooksweek.org.
