Summer Reading Buddies at Civic Center

Young readers may practice their reading with the library’s young adult volunteers. New readers may have a story read to them or read to the volunteer. Older readers may help improve their reading comprehension by discussing a book they have read with a volunteer.

Reading Buddies are available at the Civic Center branch of Livermore Public Library, at 1188 South Livermore Avenue, starting Monday June 13 through Wednesday, August 17. Volunteers will be available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00pm. No appointment is needed.

For more information call 925-373-5502.

The Summer Reading Program, sponsored by the Friends of the Livermore Library, is happening through August 17. All ages are encouraged to participate in the summer reading program. Participants who read and log their minutes have the opportunity to win prizes. Help us meet our community reading goal of 3 million minutes.
