Sign Language: Stories and Songs

Everyone is welcome at this American Sign Language (ASL) storytelling and music experience! A Black Deaf woman shares her favorite books in ASL and artistic performance. The audience will be invited to learn ASL handshapes and vocabulary. Immediately following the performance will be a craft activity. Presented in ASL with English interpretation.

Celebrate Black History Month with us! It is happening through February 28, 2026. Celebrate the history and cultural impact of Black Americans. All are invited to attend the free events and utilize the offered resources and services to learn more about this nationally celebrated month.

Thanks to the support of the Friends of the Livermore Public Library, all Black History Month events are free and open to the public. For more information, please call 925-373-5505.
