The Boys of Riverside: A Deaf Football Team and a Quest for Glory

Journalist and author Thomas Fuller will give a special talk on his book "The Boys of Riverside: A Deaf Football Team and a Quest for Glory." This Authors & Arts Series event is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the presentation, and copies of the book will be available for purchase.

"The Boys of Riverside" looks back at the remarkable 2021 and 2022 seasons during which the California School for the Deaf chased history. Fuller chronicles these remarkable years through a series of heart-wrenching and uplifting narratives, following the personal journeys of the young players. Through their eyes, he offers a vivid portrait of high school athletics, powerful camaraderie, and the experience of deafness in America.

ASL interpretation will be provided to ensure accessibility for Deaf and hard-of-hearing community members.
