The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon by David Grann is the October book for the History Book Club. Join in person at the Civic Center Library in the Board Room or via Zoom: https://bit.ly/hcebc on October 21 at 7 p.m. Registration is not necessary to attend in person or on Zoom.

Book Summary: "The Lost City of Z interweaves the story of British explorer Percy Fawcett, who vanished during a 1925 expedition into the Amazon, with the author's own quest to uncover the mysteries surrounding Fawcett's final journey and the secrets of what lies deep in the Amazon jungle." --the publisher
