Uncorking Sycamore Grove's Wine History

The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) Ranger Eric Whiteside will take attendees on a journey into Sycamore Grove Park's vintner past on Sunday, August 10 at 9 a.m. at the Sycamore Grove Ranger Station Picnic Area, 5035 Arroyo Road. Registration is required and limited to 25 adult attendees. Please call 925-373-5505 to register.

Ranger Eric’s presentation will uncover the legacy of Julius Paul Smith, Charles Wetmore, and the early wine pioneers who shaped this land. As attendees explore how the landscape has evolved over time, they will take a short walk into the hills to visit the hidden remnants of the historic Dos Mesas Winery.
