Armchair Travelers: Historic Sites Along the Blue Ridge Parkway by Harry Briley

Harry Briley will give a presentation entitled “Historic Sites Along the Blue Ridge Parkway” on Thursday, August 14, 1:30 p.m., in the Storytime Room of the Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Ave. Registration is not required to attend this free program for adults. Harry will share photos and stories of the trip he and his wife, Karen, took in August 2023, to historic sites in the eastern parts of North Carolina and Virginia. The sites Harry and Karen toured include the Jungle Aviation and Relay, the Billy Graham Library, Old Salem, Marby Mill, the National D-Day Memorial, Appomattox Courthouse, the Booker T Washington National Monument, Monticello World Heritage Site, and the Greensboro Historical Museum.
